“Mind coming here for a second?” You asked, nervously tapping your fingers against the wood of the bathroom door.

You heard the running of water, another clash of pots, before footsteps echoed their way over. He opened the door to the bedroom, green eyes searching the area before his gaze landed on your form pressed against the bathroom door. “Need something, love?” He asked, a small smile gracing his lips.

Your mouth opened, before shutting again. How were you supposed to break the news? He clearly saw your worried expression, walking over to you. “Hey, is everything alright? You can tell me anything, you know that,” He said. He tilted your chin up, giving your lips a reassuring peck. He gathered your hands in between his, the warmth encouraging you to go on.

It’s now or never. A voice in your head commanded. You gave his hands a light squeeze. Another shuddered breath, more glancing away, licking your lips. You took in a large amount of air, words coming out rushed. “A baby.”

You weren’t really sure how he would react. To be honest, you hadn’t even imagined this moment happening for a long time. He simply stared at you, confusion written all over his features. His mouth opened, but nothing came out but a few strangled stutters. “C-Come again?” He said, breathing turning into short, ragged gasps.

An airy laugh left your lips. “A baby. I’m having a baby,” You said, smiling. “Or, we’re having a baby.”

His hands left yours, pulling away from your form. At first, you were confused, scared even. Then, his gaze dropped to your stomach. “We’re… we’re going to…” His breathing was short, shallow. He locked his gaze with yours. “Really?”

You nodded, mouth slightly agape. “Yeah,” You finally choked out.

A shaky breath left his lips. He dropped to his knees, staring down at the floor. “We’re… we’re going to… oh my god,” He whispered, running his hand through his hair. He finally looked back up to you, eyes glistening with unshed tears. He reached out, grasping your waist and pulling you towards him. At first, you were deeply confused. Although, his next actions made your heart melt.

His hand hesitantly pulled the bottom of your shirt up, revealing your stomach. He pressed his forehead against it, chocolate tresses tickling the soft skin. Something similar to a choked sob left his lips, as if he was restraining himself from cracking. He finally began to cry freely, hot tears spilling own his cheeks and onto you. Soft lips were pressed against every inch of your stomach, his warm breath feathering off the surface. He pressed his forehead against it again, fingers brushing over. “I promise I’ll be a good father, (f/n), I promise. I-I’ll play with the kid, I’ll do a bunch of embarrassing stuff with it, I’ll make sure both of you are happy. Please believe me, I promise I’ll make you both happy.” He whispered.

You felt tears prick at the corners of your eyes. “Of course I believe you, Eren,” You said, smiling down at him. You let your shirt fall back over your stomach, kneeling down in front of him. You cupped his face into your hands, lifting it to meet your eyes. “I know you will,”

“Sometimes I think I love you too much, (f/n),” He whispered. He pressed multiple soft and gentle kisses to your lips, savoring each and every touch. “W-Words can’t… can’t describe this e-emotion,” He murmured, resting his forehead against yours.

A light laugh left your lips, and you pressed another swift kiss to him. “It’s okay,” You said.

He raised his hands to your face, running his thumbs along your cheeks. “You don’t need to worry about anything, okay?” He said. “I’ll take care of you,” He kissed the tip of your nose, then bent down to press another swift kiss to your stomach. “I promise,”
